Suspended glass sculpture

We like this glass sculpture by Simon Moss and Peter Layton of Peter Layton Associates. Its suspended within a double height space and is made up of mirror, polished steel and dichroic colour changing glass panels.

Lighting adds drama at night, throwing coloured reflections and shadows that illuminate the glass block walls of the stairwell.

Its a great way to add colour and light to large spaces which otherwise would look bare and unwelcoming. You need to consider the proportions so it sits nicely in the space and also what it will look like during different parts of the day. The use of lighting gives this a dynamic character which looks great both during daylight and at night.
