We managed to catch this wonderful wall of digitally printed plates which form '1479 Plates', an artwork completed by Chris Tipping, which was exhibited recently at The Octagan in Bath. It celebrates the Combe Down Stone Mines Stabilisation Project. Its a huge piece of work with layers of wonderful detail. Here's Chris explaining it all and there are more photos on our facebook page
The work was created in collaboration with Autonomatic - 3D Digital Research Cluster at University College Falmouth. They are involved with some amazing projects and research- But that's another story......Chris is a site specific artist and has worked within architectural and interior contexts where his work truly becomes an integrated part of the space.
