2001 meets The Shire. The Roca Showroom, London.

A trip to Roca's London showroom, nestled beneath an anonymous docklands development in Imperial Wharf, is truly an experience not to be missed.  Having entered through the ovoid glazed doors the interior wraps itself around you creating a series of caves.  Designed by architect Zaha Hadid this has her trademark organic signature, taking the theme of water, the space evokes an underground cavern, carved over centuries by the relentless power of water.

A sophisticated palette of white, grey and accent blue provide a stylish backdrop to the Roca products. Without a straight surface, apart from the floor, to be seen the installation must have posed some installation challenges, indeed we hear that it took two years to complete but the effect is worth it.

The design includes pods and bespoke furniture made from glass reinforced plastic with the facade panels formed from glass reinforced concrete.  Polished to within an inch of its life and beautifully lit the space has a calm ethereal quality which almost makes you forget why you turned up in the first place.

Roca products can be found tucked away and a great sales team can guide you through their options. Roca run a showroom tour on the last Tuesday of every month so go along and find out more.  See their website for more details.
